Having said that you'd think Freo would win tonight.

This isn't St Kilda circa 2011 V Essendon. Think you'll find his new playing list is a tad quicker & more dynamic than he had before. That is why the Dockers are a genuine top 4 chance.

Lyon must be having nightmares about the Dons.

Off course, he will gain fitness and start to contribute more to the team. Not going to be 100% at his best again but better than any of their other key forwards.

It was typical of a Lyon coached side tonight, they should of been 10 goal up at 1/2 Time, his sides just dont put enough score on the board for all their dominance.
Very defensive minded, with the midfield he has they should be racking up decent scores most weeks

I think they said 58 inside 50's or something Jim. 9 goals from that many inside 50's isn't going to win many games.

As I've said before, I don't think Lyon's gameplan can win flags. Freo will be up there, but they'll need to do more if they're going to threaten the really good sides.

BTW, yes I do know it was wet over there last night.

Dawson and Pearce.
What super stars
Pearce cannot go to the next level and be a match winner.
Had two chances to kick goals on his natural foot in the last quarter and blew them.
As for Dawson.
I've seen less soil in a babies nappy.

That deliberate out of bounds was a shocker

Every now and again a little incident gets my blood boiling, and this one did last night.
The player was good enough to win the ball, which is the supposed object of the game, so surely he has the right to boot it to his team's advantage. The clock stops and ball gets thrown in to a 50-50 contest, so what's the ******* problem? I know it's been like that for a few years now, but still sh!ts me.

the umpiring from what i saw was diabolical

i only saw the last qtr

the deliberate out of bounds against the bombers was a disgrace.
i think the deliberate out of bounds really should be more focused on those players who just waltz across the boundary line - not those that are trying to benefit their team!

the free kick paid against the bombers where the player had dived on the ball and a freo player with no intention of going for the ball just ran straight into him and fell over - and then got 50m that was clearly wrong imo
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Couple of goals in time on to the Eagles gives them an 8 point lead at 1/4 Time.
Roos up by 13 just before 1/2 Time
