"The early start will be particularly welcomed by the four northern AFL clubs, who have traditionally struggled for exposure in March because of the clash with the start of the NRL and the Super Rugby seasons."

You must be smoking too much weed mate. I didn't say it was the only reason, but the afl have repeatedly stated they want to combat the first few rounds of head start the NRL get.

Also hence why Gold Coast and GWS will play home games R1 every year

But not the reason why the season has started earlier. You have given one of the benefits.

I thought you were smarter than this.

They are playing home games because Gabba, SCG, MCG and Adelaide Oval are unavailable.

Where have the AFL stated they want to start earlier to combat the NRL?

if it was only about having two byes they wouldnt have a split round to start the season (which is not one of the two byes), or they would end the season later.

not saying you are wrong, but there are multiple reasons behind a season start as early as possible.

stop drinking the bong water bro, it messes with your head.

Sorry to confuse you with facts straight from Andy D. Speculation seems to be acceptable though.

You seem obsessed with cannabis. Bite the bullet and have a bong.

I'm not sure what (lightening) the descent of the uterus into the pelvic cavity, occurring toward the end of pregnancy, changing the contour of the abdomen and facilitating breathing by lessening pressure under the diaphragm has too do with things.

But if they were worried about the LIGHTNING they would have gone off the field 10 mins earlier.

yes you are probably right in fact they should have been taken off the ground 10 minutes earlier under the rules in vogue.

Hopefully the match day officials get their butts kicked for not doing so
