The fixture is always going to have its issues. Just can't wait for it all to start again.

Extremely favourable draw for the Bombers, plenty of night games & “blockbusters”. The AFL certainly want them playing finals again...

They’ve given Collingwood every chance to be up and about too

Or they've recognised we've been shit for the past couple of years and the draw reflects that.
Or they're expecting us to be shit next year and the draw reflects that.

Young team on the rise. I reckon without actually checking that 3 of the 4 are our away games

Plenty of other “teams on the rise” before Carlton

Must admit Carlton fans are the most optimistic in the AFL.

Pretty disappointed the pre-finals bye is staying. AFL clearly not listening to the fans or the coaches.

I think we'll be similarly placed. More games in the youngsters is a positive. Gibbs experience is an obvious loss.
We were in most of the games last year and only smashed 3 times I can think of.

1 of the smashing's was on a Friday night as well to a team knocked out in the first week of finals. Absolute disgrace that Carlton get 4 Friday night games.
Carlton get 4 Friday night games and aren't expected to jump up the ladder too far (could slide), yet Port who finished in the 8 and are being tipped to improve again in 2018 get 4 night games in total. Can definitely understand why KT was disappointed with the lack of night matches when a club like Carlton who have been pathetic for a number of years now gets looked after and the prime time slots.
Yet the AFL wonder why they cop so much criticism. Instead of worrying about who Fu**** who inside the AFL, get the competition back on the right track Gil & the fixture. Again a floating fixture for the last round when they are going to have another pre-finals bye. As per a previous comment, all about the $$$ and nothing about equality and the fans.

Do you oppose Carlton getting Friday night games?

4, yes. I am all for clubs having at least 1 to get exposure on a Friday Night, but for a club like Carlton to get 4 is diabolical. I would argue Brisbane are in a better position than the Blues. Give 1 to them. The Kangaroos get 1 with Good Friday and they will be in a similar position. 1 game doesn't hurt anyone. But to give them 4 when other clubs are in a much better position than what they are is a joke

All about ratings. Carlton would rate better than port, even though as a neutral we would all rather see the best teams playing in a Friday night
