42 for a 110 games, first 22 player
38 for a 31 game reserves player.

Seems fair.

Time for GC to go. When clubs continually pay overs for average players. Its no wonder they have not improved since inception.. Where is their academy system.

Easier said than done based around depth at local level. The popularity in kids is rising and AFLQ are doing a great job at that level. It takes a while for those kids to transition through the academy system.

Even when you look at the lions, Harris Andrews is the only regular from the academy system. Kiedan Coleman and Jack both emerging players.

The Gold Coast have no choice but pay overs for the kids they draft when from the moment they are drafted the interstate clubs are already plotting to lure them back. You only have to look at the noise around King, Lukocious, & Rankine at the moment.

Success is the key but while they keep going two steps forward one step back (at best) with retention it’s going to be a tough slog.

I think Hewett is a solid pick up, solid midfield depth foot soldier.

Young is trash
I don't know a thing about Brander
Also Oliver Hanrahan from Hawthorn has been linked, I know nothing about him
