WTF do we get for him back? Hard one to work out.

Surely a first round pick given he is a required player? ;)

Third or fourth round pick I’d suggest or a fringe player in return, I know Tomlinson has been mentioned as a stop gap defender

club might prefer the pick to bank the points for Welsh and Michalanney father sons

Good point.

You disappointed he’s gone MW?

I’m not fussed at all.

Indifferent. I think he is a proven goal kicker when fit. Problem when he leaves is if Rachele is ready to be that same impact player as McAdam has been, and we won't be able to roll him through the midfield as much next year.

Tough one, would rather he stays to keep the balance but is replaceable.

It changes up the mid / fwd dynamic, but he's injury prone and Rankine and Pedlar are the mid/fwd you'll rotate through. Rachele isn't a mid, yet.

At worst it hurts your depth.

He'd be a pick 35-45 type player who would add some value to a pick in the same range.

For instance Zerk-Thatcher for 42 and Bonner.

Played 11 games this season, only one in the past 9 rounds and you think he’s worth a second round pick?

I doubt Essendon need a Bonner type player

No club needs a Bonner type player.

Sam Hayes will do young ruckman have a bit of extra currency.

Its just a matter of if he goes to bombers of cats.

Essendon have Draper 24yo and Bryan 21yo. If anything, Essendon would want an experienced Ruck.

Dylan Stephens requests to be traded out of Sydney with North likely to be his chosen destination

Someone like an SA boy Kade Chandler maybe?
Harrison Petty would be useful at either end for the Crows but don't see Melbourne giving him up in a straight swap for McAdam

Can play but needs to get tougher at the contest. Still incredibly soft which is probably holding him back

Sydney have had a contract extension in front of him all year, North very happy if they land him.
I’m pretty sure Longmire and Clarkson wouldn’t put up with a “soft” player.

Don't need to be a "hard" footballer if your job is to receive on the outside and hit up targets. Not all players are cut from that cloth.

This talk about 'soft' players is nonsense. No 'soft' players play AFL. There are too many eyes put upon a player before they get to AFL level. If they're soft, they don't make AFL. Simple.

The AFL have made this more difficult because instead of someone going to bump (deemed to be tough/hard), they now back off and wait for their opponent to gather the ball and tackle them (soft/timid).

Dylan is a bit unlucky. There would Bea few in front of him which won't allow him to earn a consistent spot. Gulden being the main one
