Tom Morris reporting WA is his preference not SA.

The Grundy situation still irks me.
How much did his management team make on his Collingwood contract, then Melbourne and now Sydney?

Player managers should be on a flat fee not percentage of a contract.
Of course they are going to encourage movement cause it's more money in their pocket.
These long term contracts are raking in the coin for them.
The Grundy situation still irks me.

Except he didn’t want to leave Collingwood or Sydney, both were forced on him by those clubs.

Proves my point. If he wanted to stay, go back to his management and renegotiate a contract for less money or the time frame.
There's no way his management is going to do that!

Why should he take less money when Colingwood couldn't manage their salary cap properly? Not his fault they had a clown in charge of the dollars

Any decent list manager worth his salt will pay the minimum to keep their player.
Whatever the figure in between is, so be it.
A manager would get 4% of his contract, there are no transfer fees involved in footy. If he gets additional contracts outside of footy, the manager can negotiate a bigger slice of the pie. But Grundy isn't really that sort of player, so not sure where you think the manager is getting extra dollars from...
Calling for flat rates just highlights that your previous list manager had zero idea and saw 2 reluctant players in Grundy and Treloar leave when they didn't want to.

So Brody gets a 7 million dollar deal (roughly) which $280000 goes to management.
Then he signs a new deal at Melbourne no idea of the duration, then signs at Sydney.
So his management get a slice of all 3 contracts up front?

Isnt it the same contract? Just different teams taking them over and other clubs paying some of it to take the contract on
Manager wouldn't get 3 bites of it. They just get whatever was negotiated originally

Pies knock that on the head!
Good player but priced himself out of our market.
Are the crows going to pay that?
