Well he said the Lions but I think that means any Queensland team but the Gold Coast.

Small forwards that can win you a game off their own boot and have elite pressure skills don’t grow on trees.

Add that he is in the right age bracket for Brisbane and actually wants to go there, which is rare.

Pick 19 is a win for everyone concerned imo.

Think you might be right. Jake is off OS tomorrow as a lot of players are and maybe Atkins is going on holidays also. At the end of the season it’s not uncommon for managers to catch up with multiple clients at once

Lions would have enormous cap space and Im guessing that have offering him a multi year deal and double/triple what he is on now, apparently family is in WA not QLD?

Carlton get Atkins and 19 for Gibbs, they'd take that I reckon.

I wouldn’t be happy with that. We still need outside run and Atkins is good at that.

If Cameron and Atkins leave and smith out for the year we start to look very slow.

Would rather keep 19 and give them 10 and not Atkins

and let Atkins walk next year?
