Crows 2016

Talk on the national game

Thoughts on McKay does he stay in the side when laird comes back seedsman seems a better fit imo. Unfortunately McKay turns the footy over way to much I reckon he cost us a couple against the woods the other night seems to run to the right spots but it's what he does with the footy that hurts us. Pike seems to like going with a winning formula into the following week but a fit laird comes straight in and seedsman stays. Did McKay sign a 4 year deal just last year???

I think Mackay signed a four year extension during the 2014 season.

He missed a few targets but I think he has deserved his place in the side so far this year. Hasnt been too bad.

But yeah with Brown and Laird to come back in and Seedsman and Henderson playing well, he looks the most likely to drop out

Mackay is rubbish. 4 year contracts should be offered to blokes in your best 22 for that period. Thank **** we cleaned out some of the previous decision makers at the club.

Not sure there would be a list management team with a better track record when it came down to making decisions. The only blokes who hurt us by leaving were guys we wanted to keep. Mackay has had a pretty good year and maybe he drops out if other guys go past him but I don't think at this stage you'd be able to say he's overpaid or someone you'd delist if he wasn't contracted.

I guess where I am coming from is that you dont need to offer 4 year contracts to footballers who are average at best. He never really had a breakout year......

At this stage looking at the guys coming through he is a handy depth player but not really in your best 22.

Surely if we pricks beat them pricks that will be at least somewhat palatable? :)

Yep. Great work by the crows to keep him. It would be silly of him to go somewhere else

Adelaide now reporting the deal worth 550 a season. Reckon that's about right for him. And I reckon his original deal would have been similar, but it started at 2 years, and the haggling would have been the length of the deal
