Or Bassett. :?

The Primus era scares me about Dew.

I reckon there might be a difference between Primus and Dew in that Dew has been away from the club and been involved in other coaching systems and management organisations (unlike: Primus Buckley, Voss, Leppitsch, Hird).

Moot point as I don't see Hinkley going anywhere, but I agree, Dew has been away from Alberton for a long time now, there's no mates club around him as there was with Primus.

Can Gold Coast afford the compensation they would have to pay Port?

COLLINGWOOD assistant Scott Burns has taken the next step towards becoming a senior coach, headlining the 2017 intake for the AFL's exclusive coaching accreditation course.

Burns, who has long been flagged as a senior coach in waiting, was one of six coaches accepted for the third year of the level four program, along with Sydney's Brett Kirk and Port Adelaide's Brendon Lade.

Leigh Tudor (North Melbourne), Dean Solomon (Gold Coast) and Steven King (Western Bulldogs) round out the successful candidates, reflecting an industry consensus on the next wave of senior coaches.

Just listening to Tony Cochrane discussing the change of coaches and there appears to be little love lost. Might not have been conducive to hanging around until the end of the season.
