The Cats are in a slightly similar quandry to Port with their VFL side playing in the GF tomorrow, surely they'd take at least King out of that game?
I think I'd prefer his experience to Blake even though Blakey has been great most of the year.

Its not as though its not going to be a nervous enough week for me as it is but I've still got North playing tomorrow and possibly next Sunday. Luckily I have holidays in a week's time, I'll need it. [-o<
Should be fun at work this week as my closest work mate is a Power man, not sure if the bloke who sits between us will be as happy as he follows the Roos. :?

Think there is a bit of a trend for the team that wins tough in the prelim final, or look as though they've just about had it, pull through on the GF day, and sometimes easy wins in prelims aren't the best build up. Examples - Port tough prelim on 2004 in 2004 (V St Kilda), Brisbane in 03, last year WCE just about gone at half time of prelim, also Eagles backs against the wall at 3/4 time of last years v North, Adelaide in 1997 compared to St Kilda's easy win in prelim that year, Essendon 93.

Of course the worst thing about saying this is that it would be typical Port to buck the trend.

Go the Cats. Matty Stokes to kick a bag.

Sorry mate, memory a bit sketchy. Maybe it was the scores about level at start of time-on in 3/4, with North to come home with wind, but Eagles kicked a few late ones? Anyway, AFL thread, won't go on about it

Cats by 6 goals...

[-o< [-o< [-o<

Mind you having been there when a scawny 14 yo kid did his fist Beep test 7 years ago to audition for the NT Institute of Sport Australian Football squad in Alice Springs and he pulled out a 14/3 on his first go (i.e untrained) .....I thought to myself we may have one here.....

Then watching him play footy agaisnt men as a 15 yo diving in front of packs to win the footy and standing under hospital balls knowing he was going to get crunched my earlier suspicions were confirmed...

Tommy Logan I hope for your sake and the work you put into being an AFl player - you become a premiership player...

PS just to make it crystal clear his success has nothing to do with me I just collected the initial data and assisted to coordinate the program...He's the one that did the hard yards...

14/3 on the beep test basically means he was ahead of the draft camp average as a 14 yo in other words this boy has a motor...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
