Mick Nunan ruining the SA teams?

Now we know the Crows are coached by a Nunan fan in Mumbles Craig, and we all know how many injuries they have had....Now interesting to note that both Adelaide United and Adelaide 36ers have been using the same Nunan techniques/methods this season and guess which teams have a record number of injuries so far this season?

Coincidence? I tend to think not.....thoughts?

Dutchy / Stirrer :D

It depends on:

1 Exactly what system or techniques are being used by each club. Just because Neil Craig was once coached by Nunun 17 years ago doesn't necessarially mean he is using specific Nunan training/rehab techniques now? Ditto the 36ers and AU. Is there a 'Nunan system' at those clubs? Serious question, I don't know personally.

2 The profile of the injuries. Impact ones will happen regardless of the training regime. What's the profile of the injuries at all 3 clubs?

One we know this information we can comment better I reckon.

talking to someone involved at United and they have hired Nunan to oversee their fitness this season, the person I talked to blames Nunan for the injuries....seems more than a coincidence

Baltrame, Agostino, Valkanis, Costanzo, Cassio, Diego, Pantelis, Petta, Spagnuolo, Sarkies, Burns, Djite & Giraldi have all been injured this season.
I think Alagich, Cornthwaite, Salley & Dodd have been the ONLY first graders who haven't been injured this year.

ATM Adelaide is missing it's number one keeper, number one central defender, number one striker & number one left winger.

If they can the number one team on the park which would be Beltrame, Alagich, Costanzo, Valkanis, Cassio, Petta, Dodd, Sarkies, Burns, Djite & Agostino they'd be close to unbeatable.

So we've established a link to Adel United

Have we got to the bottom of the link to the 36ers, the Crows, the SACA or the Liberal party?

Mick Nunan is nigh on genius, I could be wrong but I think he has the best record as a coach in state footy, his turnaround of North in the 80s was incredible.
People rave about Jarman's turnaround of North but Nunan's was 10X more impressive considering its not as though he had a sudden influx of money at the club and achieved much more.
And as for Craig and injuries I actually held Craig in high esteem a couple of years ago as I couldn't believe how low an amount of injuries he had, turns out its just a luck thing.
As for Mick Nunan as a person, he lived at Westbourne Park across the road from units for the elderly including my Grandmother, always went out of his way to help the old people in any way he could and every time Ive chatted to him Ive found him to be a great guy.
Great kids too.
Only people he'd rub the wrong way are wankers so if anyone says a bad word about him you know what their pedigree is.

I could sit and chat to Mick Nunan for hours and hours, a great South Australian and a very humble one at that. One of the reasons I first started following North and after meeting him and talking to people close to him I know why, all class.

Knowing Dutch I'd assume his original post was tongue in cheek and a minor troll as only a fool or someone who knows nothing of Mick would suggest otherwise. I think he's still hurting from 87.;)
