BEN Cousins has been filmed sniffing something from a table at a "party" apartment on the Gold Coast, says Channel Nine's A Current Affair.

The fallen football star has been on the Gold Coast for several days, reportedly partying until dawn.

A Nine film crew has been following Cousins for three days and A Current Affair is tonight running a story on the fallen star's noctural ways.

After eating at an exclusive restaurant, Cousins was filmed socialising with men and young women until early hours of Saturday morning on a veranda in the heart of the Gold Coast’s main eating and drinking strip.

It was during this time that the cameras apparently picked up Cousins leaning over to sniff something off the table.

But the reporter stopped short of revealing what the substance was.

Cousins then returned to his apartment in the light of morning.

Critics are baffled as to why the fallen AFL star, who has asked the media to leave him alone while he deals with his drug addiction, has chosen the Gold Coast during Schoolies week to hang out.

However if true, and that's a big if, he needs to wake up to himself and realise he probably isn't "further along" in his rehabilitation that the media gave him credit for.

Firstly what gives them the right to follow Ben for three days when he is not an AFL player and is a normal citizen. (albeit a flawed one)

Hardly solid evidence, didnt show what the substance was and was most likely to far away to see clearly anyway as i presume the camera man was not in the party?

You would think the media would give the Ben Cousins bashing a bit of a rest for the moment, A Current affair and co have always been a disgrace and will continue to be until it gets the axe.

Yeah, he was probably sniffing Talcum powder, or the table had ben polished with Lavender Oil to calm him and help his rehabilitation!

Haha yes i get your point but they said "Apparently sniffing something" Surely he was or he was not?

And surely there is more news worthy things than follwing Ben to the Gold Coast to see how much he drinks, how many women he hooks up with and whether he does do drugs or does not?
