Talk on the national game

How embarrassment!!

Postby Rik E Boy » Sat Apr 15, 2006 6:52 pm

What a performance by Geelong today! Just when I thought we had left that kind of 'performance' behind us...the first three quarters were bad enough but the last quarter was a dummy spit of massive proportions. Sometimes the only thing left to do is ...

Congratulations to Hawthorn, too good on the day. Just as two home wins does not make a flag however, one bad day does not mean our year is over. Just wish I had some money on the Hawks today!!

Fantastic win by the Hawks. However, I recall us thrashing Brisbane Lions early last season and we fell n a hole. The next few weeks will show if the Hawks are on the up. I think they are. Luke Hodge would just about be the best midfielder in the AFL at the moment.

im a cat fan and there are no words to describe the loss.

Didnt see the game was watching the mighty Bays in action.

If you remember correctly and i do think it was last season Geelong were premiership favourites leading up to a game against Freo at kardina park in freezing conditions and they got rolled, moral of the story, when the cats become outright flag favourites put your money on the opposition!!!!!!!!!

this result shows how wide open this comp is, if you don't come to play you will get rolled no matter what odds you are for the flag........

it sends a strong message that you need to win the comp and for no club, it's not just a matter of turning up

ps - Hawthorn are seriously 5hite. They go round and round in circles so any improvement you think you may be seeing is just one more accurate handball before the turnover...

Didnt think I'd get to rehash this quote of yours so soon REB!

LOL Go you Hawkers- I think we should seriously consider relocating to Kardinia, we have gone alright there in recent times....

This result, coupled with the big bays win on the weekend has seriously disturbed me!

MatteeG

PS What happened to Kent? Go Zac Go!

PPS Dont they practice chest marks at the cattery? Seriously never seen so many sitters put down by an AFL side.

LOL. I knew you'd bob up sooner or later MateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeG. Unlike that mysterious dutchman who has vanished off the face of the earth. Good win by your boys. Pity you will undo it all by losing to Carlton this week!

My initial allegiance was to Hawthorn, however, when Port Adelaide joined the AFL thats where my heart lied at the time, and still does, yet,I also get much joy out of seeing the Hawks beat Geelong.Im sure Gary Hocking,Brownless,Ablett Snr,Stoneham and co enjoy it too........

LOL REB, sad but true.

Wont be convinced until we beat teams like the blues consistently.

Heading to watch us play the bummers in round 5 so hopefully we can keep the form rolling til then!

Cripes. Your lot could be 4-1 after that. You might be using the tissues for a different purpose than you originally intended LOL.

Arrogant, yes. Against the Hawks on Saturday they were. I wouldn't go as far as calling them overrated just yet!
