Big rumour here in Melbourne over the last couple of days was that
Pete Hellier (aka Strauchnie), is going to replace Trevor Marmalade on the Footy Show.
If true, then this is the straw that breaks the ...you know what..

about time only so long people can listen to recycled jokes

Peter Hellier isn't funny though.

I would prefer Strauchnie, Marmalade isn't funny at all anymore, used the same jokes ten too many times for my liking.

I don't particularly think either of them are that funny, but I would take Marmalade over Strauchny

I like both Strauchnie and Trevor Marmalade

But Strauchnie is funny for his spot on Before The Game and playing in fundraising footy matches and the like,
but I seriously think would be a fish out of water in the footy show context.

The Footy show has some serious footy talk, ie the players, and then the odd skit/stuff up ie Sam
but I really don't think it's the right show to have Straunchnie in/on.

If Trev was to leave I think they should be replacing him with someone like Russell Gilbert or similar.

Strauchnie V Trevor Marmalad IMO is like comparing apples to oranges

Trevor Marmalade is way better than Strauchanie. I think they should keep it as is.

Strauchnie isn't stand up comedy funny.
It would make The Footy Show even worse than the year just gone.

Reckon they should get Russell Gilbert in there

or Warrick Capper!

can be a bit of a tool but i reckon huuuughesy might be better suited to this role than strauchnie

Marmalade has been spreading himself pretty thin over the last few years and has become a bit sour. He's just not a-peeling any more. Apparently, his career is now toast.
