Now with perrie out, looks pretty thin. With only Hentschell being the only tall forward that is fit at the moment. With Welsh and perrie out and riccuto possibly in doubt they look a bit thin up forward. This would probably mean Luke Jerhico would be back in the mix for the cows. Something else that might be tries will be Mcgregor up forward, probably CHF with Hentschell playing closer to goals, as this week the bulldogs dont have 2 or 3 tall forwards with Grant looking as the only tall forward. Anyway what sort of quick fix does everybody reckon the cows will go for?

This week they may get away with playing McGregor at CHF as the Bulldogs are not too tall up forward, if they go this way they might consider Scott Stevens at CHB, need to remember he was a defender at Sydney, not a forward, but for me I am not convinced he is AFL standard

Given the Bulldogs lack of tall defenders I would not be suprised if they Play Biglands at CHF and bring in Maric to Support Clarke.

I f Roo misses, then Jericho may get an opportunity to prove some critics wrong, maybe Meesen may be a Smokey selection up forward.

With Burton out, Mattner is a ready replacement and Edwards to come in if fit....

Vince must also be under the selection microscope as the Crows pulled him out of the Anzac day clash.......

For Me, Biglands to CHF, Maric comes in to Support Clarke

The key for Adelaide is getting Welsh back.He is the only "natural" forward who,out of their list plays the best from the goal square,with Hentschel and Perrie better up the ground.
Ruccuito will need to spend more time in the square until the above mentioned three are back in the side.

I dont think Bock will have much or any influence on this season.If you miss half the year with a back,which would obviously reduce your running capacity then it would take some time to get back to fitness.Discount him until August at best.

You don't need a forward line when you've got a back 15.

Good points there boon. Ok perhaps now i will conceed a earlier debate and say that Fergus Watts would have been better of staying at adelaide. The would have been givin his chance when Welsh was out now with perrie out and even bock not there he would have be giving plenty of oppurtunity.

I'm not so sure about Welsh at full forward. He has kicked a few bags when the ball is in good supply from winning mid-fielders, but has not been so successful when delivery has been under more pressure and not as precise. Also, I think he is obviously fragile and easily injured in the heavy going. If his body holds up he may be a useful forward pocket or half-forward flanker, where he can use his mobility and not be crushed by the big guys.

Personally, I'd like McGregor close to goal for the big grabs and Ricciuto leading from the pocket, with Bode or Welsh in the other pocket. I agree Hentschel is not yet ready for CHF - I think he is potentially a better backman anyway. He looks better [on TV I admit] runing forward and not having to think about which way to turn. [He seems a bit slow thinking at times on the field and in interviews!]

Welsh, is fantastic on the lead, very quick but plays his best footy when he picks up the third or fourth defender, this is why big bodies such as McGregor is critical for the forward structure.

the thing that is very impressive about the crows, if we lose, we don't get smashed

this would be a concern for Port Powder, since their premiership, at times when they have fallen behind, they look like they throw in the towel

Looking at the game in hindsight. One must wonder what the result would have been if the Crows had their best forward line-up available!

Even when we were dominating, we still got the shit kicked out of us at times. When we win, we win big. When we lose. we lose big. Some of our players are mentally weak.

Kane is the person I put on top of the mentally weak category. He looks like he is on a treadmill sometimes. Dont agree on your Tredrea, Wakes, Gav and the Burgs. Shaun is as tough as they come.

This kid can play. Seen him a few times now at league level and he makes blokes twice his age look silly.

How much have you seen of him or dont you like Glenelg that much.
