Do your self a favour and have a look at the absolute hanger Ottens took tonight. It rivals Shaun Smiths grab from the mid 90's. It will not be beaten as the mark of the year.

Bugger missed it, that'll teach me to only watch snippets of it!

PS Tell Donna to shut up and remind her who I barracked for in the GF last year!

its the only highlight in a pretty ordinary game
the cats were premiership favorites three weeks ago, the cats a really struggling,
Memo to Bomber
too negative, too wide and too flat footed, need to run run and run, players need to be prepared to run through the lines

WTF was Roberts-Thompson thinking?

Great grab by Otto and Gazza's goal was a gem but that was about it for the Catters. We played the Swans back into form and the competition won't thank us for it. While we still have a few out there is no excuse for the utter carp Geelong dished up last night. They didn't run, half of them didn't work hard enough and yet again we gave away stupid free kick after stupid free kick. The Swans should have beaten us by ten goals last night we were that bad. Mark Thompson's coaching wasn't impressive either. The only decent move he knows is 'throw Mooney in there'. I still believe in the list but I am starting to doubt if Thompson is the man to get us over the line because the lessons are not being learnt and that top four spot is getting further and further away every week.

FARGEN 5HITHOUSE!! :x

REB

that keeps the Cats travelling record interstate at 1 win from the last 18 (in regular season)
this has to be a concern as they may have to travel come finals especially if Adelaide and the Eagles finish in the top two.
the cats need to start taking some risks, too flat footed, no one running through the lines
Question
Why is G Ablett not used more on the ball, is it fitness

Cats have a long way to go, Bomber has showed a lot of faith in this group, they have been together for 4 seasons now, it's time they deliver

Not sure if ottens wont be beaten, it will only take a collingwood uncontested chest mark to have the magpie army voting it the mark of the year

In regards to Ablett's goal, Bowden's goal earlier in the year was similar, Burton's was also as difficult, their will be many more great goals before seasons end

:-({|=

Tarrant took the Mark of The Year in 2001 & was denied, the "winner" being the red-headed smurf from Effendon.

Wow, it must have been good. I rate the Smith mark as the best I've seen. I was out of action most if the weekend with illness, but I am still amazed I haven't seen it yet.

Wouldn't say for sure that Otten's mark will be MOTY ... Was a pearler no doubt about it, but it's pretty early in the year still ... Someone like Luke McPharlin would, I'd imagine' get a decent contender in there before the year's out ...

Abletts goal was instinctive brilliance, I don't think it will win GOTY if only for the Robert-Thompson factor, but all class nonethless ...

I wouldn't be worrying too much down at Catland at the moment, I've always felt Geelong (in recent years) have played their best footy toward the business end of the season, I think they are still every chance at this early stage ...

the work rate of the Cats midfield was a real concern on the w/end but you can fix this.

the forward line structure is a concern at the moment, Kingsley and Playfair back in will definitely help

they will be around the mark but will want to start moving forward as you don't want to get stuck in a pack fighting for places
