Mother's Day Massacre

Soft. Lazy. Undisciplined.

No intensity.

Can handle losing but not when they play like a flock of Peter Burgoyne's, I mean seagulls - scavenge an easy possession then POQ when things look a little tough.

A few players get pass marks - Lade, White Pearce.

Surjan at least had a dip. Junior Burger provided some spark when he went onto the ball (where he must play, week in, week out.)

Toby at least took a few marks up forward. Chad chipped in with three goals but then did nothing of note except punch the fence in the last quarter.

Two stalwarts are obviously strugging - Tredders (with fitness) and Wilbur (looks shot, sad to say).

Dew, Motlop and Cassisi have to go.

Looks like Damon White had a good day, 13 marks, is that right?
He should be the key forward of that side.

what can you say, SOFT SOFT SOFT SOFT

Motlop is the Dud of the year, too many receivers, not enough players who are willing to hunt the footy and go in and win the contested ball.......

This port side is a very very soft side

Accountability.....!

I would hate to live in Chocco's house this week.......!

the crows showed the blueprint to beat the bullies, accountabilitiy and pressure the ball carrier and do not turn the footy over so they can hurt you on the rebound, so what do the power do, the complete opposite, no pressure no accountability

Not sure what chocco is doing but they a playing a very soft brand of footy

I'll say this now, Port will not play finals this year.

I think the Power are a couple of years away from playing finals

I was thinking exactly the same thing, hopefully they stay shitezenhausen and get a priority pick so Sellar stays too...

i thought the priority pick process has been changed, it's not based on one seasons performance anymore

Hooray for footy!

PS Motlop is the designated "bag player" for the Power fans.
I think I saw Motlop chase an opposition player once, but maybe he was just stumbling.

PPPS Brian Harris (a good SA lad) WILL be the AFL team of year full back this year.

P.S.

P.S. Great to see the Power taking Women's Round literally....

Well the Bulldogs have played to that description for the majority of the last 5 years, unlike port who has actually played finals in last 5 years and won a premiership. Yeah we're rebuilding, but i'd take Port's record over the Bulldogs over the last 10 years any day!!

213 handballs by W.Bulldogs is a new record in the AFL.
421 possessions is a club record, and 2nd overall.

Thats yet to be seen. I guess when you get Griffin and Cooney and others in top 10 picks it makes it extremely easy to rebuild whilst Port has had nothing given to them the whole time they've been in the comp, they've had to do things the hard way. Port has won a flag in 9 years in the comp, the Bulldogs couldnt do that in 50 years!! Everyone knows that theres way too many Victorian clubs in the league, and so if any are to be cut, guess who is number 1 contender to go splitsville? Yep, WB.

First up, at present Cooney is soft and has a long way to go before he is an elite player

Poor excuse...... the crows have had one top 10 pick in it's history and had to rely on developing second and third round draft picks and rookies such as Bock, Rutten, Mattner while players such as knights and Johncock were late draft selections , if anything Port needs to look at its recruiting policy, Port decided to trade strong draft picks for the likes of Motlop.......

If you are going to be a successful club over long periods of time your not going to get the early picks you desire, so to stay competitve you need to do everything else top rate, recruitment, development of players, training, game strategy, Port once led the crows in these area, no more, the crows are now streets a head.....

Clubs that rely strictly on draft picks to be successful, will never be, just look at the saints

the big thing I have noticed about the Powder over the past couple of weeks, they are keen to do a lot of pushing and shoving and bagging their chests, thats fine but it is worth noything unless you can put your head down and win the hard nut, maybe they should focus on winning the hard footy, it's not SANFL days in the 80's when they got away with this tactic
