Joel Bowden has 19 marks with 10 minutes to go.
Remember J.Brown taking high teens regularly, dont recall too many players taking 20 or more though!!!

20 now.
Only 1 contested. Why have the Crows not realised he is their link man and they go to him ALL the time. My god, stupidity never ceases to amaze me.
5 mins to go and the Crows are gonna get done by a team of spackers!!!

181 team marks to Richmond the most ever in the AFL, eclipsing 170 by Freo a few years ago.
J.Bowden 20
Pettifer 15
P.Bowden 15
Kellaway 15
Simmonds 13
Deledio 11
Raines 10
Absolutely unheard of. 100 marks is normally a fair few for 4 qtrs!!!

does anyone know how many were uncontested and how many were marked from a backwards kick........
watching the game I would say 90% uncontested and 50-60% backwards
get ready for a rule change next year, can not pay a mark for a backwards kick

Sydney-Dog as I said Bowden had 20 marks, only 1 contested mark out of them. From what the MMM commentators were saying you would be around the mark with your %
Its hard for me to assess not seeing the game.
Im still waiting for Sky Digital to televise a Crows game on replay. Last night they showed last weeks St Kilda V Geelong game. I reckon ive seen the Saints 3 times in 6 weeks!!! Boo to the Poms and TV programmers

As noted, the Richmond marks tally of 181 is a new AFL record.
Richmonds' previous record was 122 marks, against Port Adelaide Round 6 2005.
The total number of marks in the match - 283 - is the 2nd highest ever.
They also created a club record for kicks - 259, which is also the equal 3rd highest ever in the AFL.
Their totals added up to 628 which is a club record and equal 19th overall.
As I said, this can only do some good to the SANFL!

the game is changing, the pies last night had close to 180 marks, most uncontested
I miss the big pack mark, I hate this style of footy

Well your right spell. This style of play is not good to watch at all. Last week it was Geelong and st.kilda that nearly put me to sleep. this time the cows and richmond did there best to do the same.

their are two issues,
firstly the number of uncontested marks, you will find that Collingwood too had 170 plus marks for the game, secondly, the amount of uncontested marks from backward kicks........
The coaches have gone on record saying they do not want any more rule changes, well lets keep the ball moving forward, league and union you move the ball backwards to go forward

Collingwood only had that many marks because they had that much of the ball. Also note there unconstesed marks were up because they didnt really have an oppoent to contest with.
