Brownlow Medal so far

I know Judd is having a cracking first half of the season, but Id like to see peoples thoughts on the Brownlow so far.
I got Goodwin at 17/1 to win and 5/1 to place on April 28 (centrebet) so I had 50$ EW on him. Been listening to todays game on the net vs Carlton as Im overseas and he has had 27 possessions to 3/4 time. I believe he is also leading the AFL possessions as well.

Anyone else lay any bets or have a nibble at anyone who is going well during the season so far?

Put a $5 bet each way on Dane Swan a couple of weeks ago at $201. Unlikely to win it I know but he's having some kind of year so far.

Judd will miss at least 3 weeks with a hammy, this may open the door for goody

43/1 - show me the money

I don't think their is any offical word from the club, it all depends on what report you read, but if I put my physio hat on, 21 days is usually the standard

I rekon Judd has about 11 votes @ the moment - 3 clear best on grounds and 1 second. The injury will set him back a little and some of his mates might start goin past him.

Goodwin is not a proven vote getter and I think that the votes will get spread around @ the Crows

And why wouldn't Judd have the same problem at the Eagles?

Polled pretty well last year and thus far I'd suggest Roo and Edwards would be down on last years count, he'd have to be every chance at this stage ... Guys like McCleod and Johncock could figure prominently also

Thats why I said " some of his mates might start goin past him " and Judd is a proven vote getter.

up to the start of the 2006 season

Goodwin - career Brownlow votes 35 in 170 games
Judd - career Brownlow votes 57 in 92 games

if i recall Goody led the voting last year until the late rounds

this year goody is right under the umpires noses, he leads the comp in clearances, carries the ball and has kicked some goals on the run, he will get votes

I rekon you are thinkin of Zoomer ( Edwards ) finished with 16 votes.

Mattner lead early with 9 votes and then didnt get another vote.

Goodwin got 9 votes on the night and went in as a fave for the night.

Your right, sorry it was Edwards, but regardless, I think my 43/1 punt is a bit of chance

I've been on Dal Santo for the past few years, and he's given it a shake and is a proven vote-getter ... Would imagine he'd need to get a wriggle on though as I reakone he wouldn't have polled too many thus far ... Still with Hayes now out of the lineup, the opportunity would be there for him ...

Had Jude Bolton aswell at 100+ last year and he was actually leading the count at or near the halfway mark, another player who seems to fly beneath the radar yet catches the eye of the umps ..
