From Adelaide now:

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,26350964-5016212,00.html

Summary for all of those who cant be arsed in clicking through, Luke Ball has nominated Collingwood or Essendon as his preferred destinations in the national draft.

Essendon are probably best place to pick him up, but really what is to stop Melbourne for getting him still? Nothing and no matter what Connors says, Melbourne are still well placed to pick him up before essendon, and its not Like Melbourne havent got room in the cap.

Everyone nominates Collingwood

Supports my theory that all babies are born with blue eyes and barrack for Collingwood. Some just change later

I reckon Brett Chalmers got fined for draft tampering in the mid 90s for using these sort of tactics to try to get to Collingwood?

Conscious of the free agency push and the AFLPA i can only assume the AFL is treading more carefully these days

Possibly, but there is still nothing to stop melbourne from picking him up. His 500K price tag is not something that will worry there cap at the moment, since they got rid of Robertson.

Just been reported that Mcphee has walked out on the Bombers so id say Ball to Essendon would be a near certainty now. Plenty of room in the cap and 2 picks before the Pies.

With mcphee going in the PSD and looking likely to go to fremantle, who will melbourne pick up?

IIRC Chalmers sent a letter to all the other clubs alerting them to the fact he will only leave SA to play for Collingwood.

Collingwood were one of his shortlisted clubs. But chose Carlton and WCE made the successful trade
