This news broken this morning. After such a great career things just keep getting worse for Gary Ablett.
FORMER AFL star Gary Ablett Sr has been bashed in an alleged attempted robbery in the Victorian city of Geelong.
The attack occurred some time after 11.30pm (AEST) last night in Latrobe Terrace, Geelong's busiest street, police said.
Melbourne Barwon Health spokesman Amanda Bavin said Ablett arrived at Geelong Hospital's emergency department at 1.44am (AEST) today, but left 11 minutes later.
