Thought there were encouraging signs for the Power tonight with several of the youngsters continuing to show that they belong at AFL level.
Liked the games of Logan, Lower, Pearce, Bentley, Pettigrew, Ebert, White, Salopek and Matt Thomas.
Thomas and Logan look to be hardnuts of the highest caliber and I'm surprised Brisbane couldn't even find a rookie spot to retain the services of Logan.
Shaun Burgoyne really is looking a cut above nearly all other AFL players and may be still some sort of roughie for the Brownlow given that he breaks tackles and carry's the ball (becoming rarer in AFL game style now)
Hope that the hamstring tear for Wilson isn't going to spell the end of his career.

Yes they have a good group of young players there that are keen and enthuastic. Which is good for them. Looks like there rebuilding is well under way and with those young players coming through and with some older heads around in the ream as well things are looking good for port in the future. Next year will be interesting for them.

JB has been a little inconsistent of late, but yes, he's a Rolls Royce.
Have been relatively happy with the way things have gone this year - lots of young kids have shown a bit. Just wish we'd play a bit more direct at times.
Even with the (unjustified) calls for Chocko's head, the signs are encouraging.

Plenty to look forward to. The team appears to be rebuilding well.

Problem with Chocco, is over the years he only plays the young guns when he is forced too, that is when the club has a long injury list, he needs to show more courage earlier in the season to drop a big name or two

Where has that run and attack been over the past 10 weeks I ask, where? We looked fantastic against one of the hardest running units in the comp.Pearce,Salopek know how to find the ball,Surjan,Logan dont like getting beaten to it,Pettigrew with some much needed bulk will be more than useful,Bentley looks capable,White finally getting out on the lead, but more so got the delivery every forward likes to see. With Brogan,Cornes x2,Tredrea,P.Burgoyne all in their late 20's,Lade just 30,the future looks good.
On Shaun Burgoyne, why can no one pin him in a tackle? He backs himself every time he gets it in traffic to break free and his delivery is A1,as exciting as there is to watch at the moment. If we had managed 10 wins and been on the brink of the 8 he would have got more BOG's in the umpires eyes,I think he will get alot of 2's,finishing top 5 in the Brownlow.
