Arent South Hosting a game on Good Friday? i know for a fact that i will be going to an SANFL game on good friday. cant wait for it!

agreed, that was the worst rule change I can recall, it is a farce, looks like they don't want to admit they were wrong!

Posted: Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:06 pmOne rule change i think the AFL should consider and trial in the pre season cup is one used in soccer and gaelic football.
When the umpires sees a free kick but notices the advantage instead of blowing the whistle they should just let play go. In soccer the umpire uses a hand signal to clarify he noticed the free but is playing advantage while in gaelic the umpire simply doesnt do anything and lets advantage naturally play on.
Nothing worse in football when theres a fifty fifty contest the whistle blows and everyone stops except for one bloke who then runs off with the ball while the umpire pays advantage yet most players stopped because they werent sure whose free it was.
