It's a small miracle that the Lexus Centre isn't being burnt to the ground as we speak...

The other teams in the finals will be celebrating the fact that Collingwood won and will probably make the 8. They were extremely ordinary from mid way through the second quarter. Will only be making up the finals, will certainly do no damage, the Wobbles really are a joke of a club, 1 premiership in 50 years, most over hyped sporting club in the history of the world!!

Port has managed to assemble a great number of quality juniors with out being gifted them through the draft (early picks). The side will certainly be a threat within 2 to 3 years, all things being equal. I wont comment on the umpiring, was pretty obvious for all to see tonight, how competent, or otherwise, they were....

totally agree.

Danyle Pearce going undrafted is one of the biggest cases of poor scouting in the history of the draft, right up there with James Hird and Chris Grant.
Jacob Surjan, a rookie draft pick.
Greg Bentley, a rookie draft pick.
Kane Cornes somehow lasting 'til pick 16 in 2000.
Shaun Burgoyne was an extremely savvy pick.
The Power are great at selecting unheralded draft talent but are ordinary at picking the cream of the crop (Barry Brooks, Michael Stevens, Paul Koulouriotis)

Pearce has great potentisal but lets not put him in the Hird / Grant category just yet

On last nights game, If Rocca is the laziest Big man I have ever seen in the game he just does not wont to roll his slleves up and get dirty, his work ethic is poor and unless it is lace out he is not worth poo... and it's poor coaching not playing him more in the ruck or at CHB to get the lazy slug working....... and what blows me away he is the VC of the club....

Rocca is the only player at AFL level I see bent over and blowing after his first contest, this has always been the cast even befoe his injuries.....

On Rusling, would love him in a crows jumper, this kid can play and will be a star

Yes, drool all you like fellas, he'll be staying with the Pies.

I've run out of reasons to defend Rocca. His best is clearly behind him.

Rusling, he's already got a strong AFL Body, leads hard, good hands, on last nights observations maybe needs a bit more length in his kick, not sure if he can kick it accurately over 50m

BUT will be a better player then both Tarrant and Rocca

All good points ODB although i think Surjan was a pre season pick not a rookie pick (sorry being technical). Those 3 guys you mentioned were disappointments i agree, although Brooks was highly rated as a junior, would be up there as one of the most disappointing early draft picks in th history of the draft. Stevens also disappointing, possibly the club put too much emphasis on who his brother was and hoped that Michael would turn out like that as well.

Rusling was picked from basic obscurity after playing 1st XV111 for Westminster. Remember it was only his 2nd game for the year as well - so thats pretty impressive in the circumstances. Bright Future!

Noone should pick on Barry Brooks from a Port perspective.

We traded him after one season for pick 6 and 31. Pick 6 was Salopek and pick 31 we traded to North Melbourne for Pickett.

If thats not great trading then I dont know what is.

We got robbed by that goal umpire. Apart from that, we also had plenty of opportunities to put Collingwood away, but we wasted them.

Thurstan could of been a good footballer but he lacks one thing, "ability"

Rocca has ability but is super lazy and unfit
