WCE v Freo GF, a real possibility!!!!!

Postby GWW » Sat Aug 19, 2006 10:05 pm

I realise that Freo need to win a final first, but the 2 WA clubs in the last Saturday in September could be a real possibility. Maybe not this year, but within next few years. The likelikhood of this happening before a Crows/Port GF would be quite high..

Freo have had a great 6 weeks but we all keep saying finals footy is a different ball game, I will reserve my judgement until sept, the hype and occassion may be a distraction to the club

As inevitable as a Non Victorian GF that we have seen.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

after watching the ugly swans tonight I am convince they can not win this years flag

last year there ugly style got them over the line, this year they have only beaten 3 top 8 sides, and in 21 rounds have kicked 10 or less goals on 8 occassions and have only kicked 15 or more goals on 3 occassions.......

tonight, at home, at almost full strength, playing a depleted lions side, they should of won by 12 goals.....

i am convinced that this year they will not be able to win a final away from home against west coast or adel kicking 10 or 12 goals....

the swans will make the top 4 they will hit a brick wall come finals

freo playing great footy, real deal ??, finals will tell us that story

footy has a rich history of sides that flop in finals because they have no finals experience, it will be a huge occassion for the club, the excitement will be at an all time high and now it is freo's turn with the media spotlight and opposition clubs focusing on them.

it will be interesting to see how they handle it

SD some teams flop in finals even with experience, your honour exhibit A the Woodville-West Torrens Footy Club....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

But WWT have actually made Grand Finals, whereas Fremantle have only made the finals once and have had many near-misses.

i dont think you can completely discard sydney even if you dont like the style. the style got them over the line last year so its a proven formula. the crows are just about shot with injuries and poor form!!!!!!!!!

west coast look to be the best team at the moment despite there lapse against freo.
