What a champion of the game
He will be sadly missed by every opponent who ever had to man up on him.

Francou finished 2001 and 2002 in the top 3 for the Brownlow.
Jade Rawlings finished 2001 & 2002 in the top 3 for Most Overrated player.

Oddly enough I thin Rawlings had ability at a young age with the Hawks, but he pushed his hardest to maximise his earnings and I think struggled with the added expectation of a high price bracket normally attached to marquee (or near on) players ... In summary, wanted more than he was worth and got found out!

Rawlings career drowned in his own greed while Francou should of retired two years ago

Geelong's Peter Riccardi will do his lap of honour around Cat Park to farewell the Geelong faithfull after 288 games for the Catters. Riccardi wil be remembered for his pace and skill and uncanny goal sense. Peter Riccardi is the third most 'capped' Cat of all time. Thank you Peter Riccardi, one of my favourite Cats in his prime.
It wasn't that long ago that the Cats didn't do this type of thing for the players and fans, we are still waiting to farewell Gary Ablett FFS, although plenty of that has to do with the man himself.

REB

I have it on very good authority that more then one player will announce his retirement from AFL Footy in the next 8 days.
And some other players will then announce their retirements within a few weeks of teh end of the season.
You heard it here first.
