Comments from Aka

The Brisbane Lions exile said yesterday nine of the 10 Victorian clubs had expressed interest in trading for him.

The 29-year-old still has one year of his contract to run with the Lions but he said Brisbane had agreed to let him pick his club.

"And at the moment I don't know who that will be," Akermanis said, adding bottom-placed Carlton was not on his radar because it was too reliant on one player: full-forward Brendan Fevola.

"I don't want to be at a club where if one player falls over, so does the team," he said.

Syd Dog says

If Aka does not want to play for a club that is so reliant on one player, then why is Essendon the Front Runner, this year they last Llyod and the club has fallen apart, they are on target for their worst season in the clubs history

Lloyd will be there next year alongside Lucas who is in career best form (All australian?) - add Aker and they will be OK next year. Carlton are simply Fev - no other options, he can kick 8 and still not get them close to winning...

possible - but would Malthouse accept Aka's, too similar to Matthews for me. And Tarrant wouldnt get FF from Bradshaw, but maybe thats a good thing, play him on a flank.
