Crowd disgrace

Postby Dutchy » Mon Aug 28, 2006 11:55 am

It staggers me that the crows sell out every week however yesterday we have both Adelaide teams playing and only 41.500 turn up leaving empty seats in the outer? I know it was Ports home game but where were all the regular Crows fans? Alright you need to go and pay for this game but its YOUR team playing against your cross town rival, surely if your a passionate fan you would get there....SOFT....

BTW I see the Roos were the biggest crowd drawing team to AAMI this year with 47,000, beat Collingwood, Essendon, Port...

Crows are the ones with the supporter base yet didnt turn up...lets do some calculations -

Crowd - 41,500
less Port Members 25,000
TOTAL 16,500

Normal Crows crowd 43,000, therefore there were 26,500 soft crows fans who decided not to bother and support their team when needed the most....my question WHY?

Good to see the Roos get that many to Footy Park. Maybe they should move their home games there as they get sweet FA here in Melbourne.

It cracks me up when these broke Port Power ferals, who can afford all their booze and cigarettes but can't afford to go to the footy, blame us Crows supporters for not selling out THEIR home game!

cant add up MW...look at the equation above...another example of crows fans not doing themselves any credit

Essendon/Collingwood games for example - their attendences dont change on whose home game it is! a game in their home city - they go to the game...simple really

It would work much in the same way as Crows games...

there are 25000 allocated seats for port season ticket holders, and all other tickets (bar 1300 I think) which were sold to the public.

54 odd thousand minus 1300 does NOT equal 41000 therefore I would suggest that the season ticket holders (and probably a few members) were the ones that failed to make an appearance yesterday.

Junior sport finals and the early start probably didnt help the cause....

A bit rich coming from a Roo's supporter, your club was so successful thru the 90's and still had to give away tickets and memberships........ pathetic

Enjoy the Roos as a single entity while you can cause it is just a matter of time before they merge or even better, fold.
