Not that I think it would happen, but if Jobe was stripped of his Brownlow would the betting agencies have to payout on Cotchin/Mitchell (and Thompson/Swan as placegetters)?

I would doubt the first and think the second part simply wouldn't happen.

Interesting isnt it... surely not though, how are they going to recoup the payouts for Watson winning it?

Lets say 25 players are suspended by WADA for 2 years which is a likely outcome if proven guilty and that TV rights demand 9 matches.
These 2 things are set in stone.
Would this then mean that the AFL would have to let Essendon draft up to 25 players to fill its list for the coming season?
How would this go with guys that are contratced to SANFL clubs etc?
If they dont do this what happens to the other 15 or so guys on their list? Do they allow each other club one draft pick from this pool and fold Essendon up

interesting to read that Andy D doesnt like sports scientists etc, surely for the good of AUSTRALIA we need him to take over Cricket Australia to cut out the rotation policy

Essendon have a reserves team in the VFL? They should be forced to use those players even though they may not be up to AFL standard.

just like horse racing, they pay out on the result on the day. when horses return positive swabs the TAB or bookies dont go back and then payout on the new result

They dont have enough listed players to take out 25 and promote the rest to the senior side

That would be the fairest thing for the rest of Australia but we know the AFL doesnt care about any other level of football.
Think it goes with out saying that Essendon would be playing for no points for 2 years, basically they only play to fulfill the Tv rights deal

Last year, says ASADA's register, three Queensland amateur rugby players were caught in possession of, using and/or trafficking peptide, and suspended for two to four years.

ASADA makes no allowance for the unsuspecting. ''Athletes are responsible for any substance found in their body,'' said an addendum to a release last year. ''There have been cases where … athletes have been sanctioned after they have used supplements that they thought were OK, but which were actually contaminated with prohibited substances.'

would have thought AFL aligned VFL clubs would have to have at least squads of 30. Are First team VFL sides still limited to a max of 14 AFL players on Match day? still need to find 8 players for that and then fill a reserves team and allow for injuries.

In SA in State level Golf Tournaments it states on the Entry form that you could be tested for PED's. I one have entered the past couple of years half the field would be out because they failed the breath test..... 8-[

there would be a out clause in the contract. Would happen if a team had a heap of injuries and suspension that they couldn't fill a side for the week. then again we are talking about the AFL so there probably stupid enough to not have it.

Im sure they could find 25 players who were around the draft this year or in previous years who would play for petrol money to play AFL and enhance their chance of being recruited in coming years.
