I'm pretty happy with the draw, I rather play a day game then at night and I rather play freo then syd
Obviously Freo last two months have been strong, but syd are a very even team, have delivered in finals and will take pride in defending the flag, while Freo rely heavily on Farmer and Pav, so if you can shut down their influence they may struggle, more importantly, finals experience is worth 3-4 goals, so it will be interesting to see how freo copes with this week
I definitely rather play freo then syd

McGregor would be an outside chance at best to play this week IMO. Saw him in the crowd at the Royal Show Friday arvo still with a profound limp.
Like your thinking of Mattner on Farmer Interesting Match up

given his hammy was graded as a grade 1 i would be suprise if he misses another week unless he has damaged it again during training, Craigy seemed confident during his post match interview, hopefully he will get up
If Kenny does not come up, then Stevens and Bock will be likely options, or even Rutten
Mattner on Farmer, first consideration is Farmer needs close checking, he gets so many cheap uncontested goals either caused by a loose ball or turn over.... second consideration, I would not sacrafice Joncock's game, we need to give stiffy the freedom to attack from HB and not have to worry about Farmer

Mattner must play in the midfield his pace and tenacity could
well be the wild card in the Crows finals campaign.
He was wasted in defence for a while for Sturt from memory
and showed his better form on the wing/midfield.
I think if it was a night game it wouild have assisted the Crows, if
its one of those clear dry days it will suit the sandgropers.
S/DOG I watched Bernie Vince for the Eagles today, did some nice things
and might come into consideration this week.

for some reason the crows worry my under lights, especially if it is dewy, the way the crows ran out the game against Melb on a warm day gave me plenty of confidence that they are fresh and at fitness peak, so I wouldn't mind another warm day
mattner, he has played all year at HB, don't mind him on the wing but this week would love to see him get the job on farmer and really set himself the challenge
vince, i like this kid but i cant see him pushing out douglas or proplyzia, both had excellent games against melb

Vince might want to get another game under his belt hasn't he just come back from a knee injury??? could be under prepared for AFL finals footy

There is NO way Torney will be dropped, he is very reliable and was great yesterday.
In: McGregor
Out: Reilly (assuming he doesn't come up)

Torney had a good game against Melb, 17 touches, he is also a experience and courageous player, my concern is his leg speed, he might struggle against a quick side like freo, swcondly team balance, Kenny in for Radar, upsets the team balance in my opinion, if Kenny is fit then I think a defender will make way and at the momement Massie and Stevens add more flexibility to the side, Massie yesterday spent time in the midfield and on the wing, Stevens on a back flank I don't mind, he pushes up the ground , yesterday he finished with couple of goals.......

Vehemently disagree S/DOG.
I would prefer it dewy or as wet as possible and make it a contest, if its
a free flowing game the sandgropingsuperstars may be too quick.

I remember last years final against the saints, dewy game, crows did not handle it well
Freo beat Adelaide by 15pts last encounter, Adelaide were woeful that day, flat and only played about 20 minutes of footy, so I'm pretty confident
bottom line is if you move the ball quickly, make the right decisions and hit targets, you take leg spped out of the game
CRITICAL FACTORE, stoppages, the crows must win the square and stoppages around the ground

F WELSH BOCK BODE
Bock at full forward, you'd have to hope hes not lining up from 10 metres out straight in front on GF day, on the siren, 5 points down
As i've said before i dont really rate Bock as a player much at all, but he can play some reasonable football in defence. If he was going to play in the forward line, i wouldn't have him in a key position, maybe a forward flank.
