But we still havnt heard the full story. Whats to say the other bloke didnt throw one first?
If the other player has thrown the first punch then its fair game.
I dont like like bloke but not willing to hang him just yet

its nowhere near fair game, even if he didnt throw the first punch. they are teammates, and he is a senior player. unless he banged brown's mrs there is almost no excuse to break a teammates jaw, even if you hate the guy

Or Campbell Brown's just a dropkick?

In other news Richard Tambling has announced his retirement from AFL footy after not being picked up and Darren Jolly looks headed that way too.

Tambling announced his retirement before the rookie draft even though Adelaide was going to select him

True.
Even if the other guy initiates it a senior player should demonstrate restraint, maturity, and good judgement.

I've always tried to do that in any conflict, and have only once hit anyone who didn't take a swipe at me first.*
Even then, I've usually just applied a (slightly painful) hold and made them apologise publicly for their bad manners.

*The exception was back in my student days in the case of a guy who was constantly bad mouthing publicly those of us who hadn't gone to Saints, PAC ,or Pulteney. I'd finally had enough and just slipped him a short forearm jolt to the Solar Plexus in the crowd at the lecture theatre door while he was doing it yet again.

He retired the day he was drafted.

Tambling might have had a decent career if the Tigers had a decent recruiter. If he goes low in the draft at a better club he might have developed more gradually and more comprehensively. For all the shit he's copped he did manage over 100 games of AFL football so he must have had some ability.
