MRP at it again

Jonas offered 3 games for his bump on Roberton - really???? 3 games for what would have been classed a great bump only a few years ago. Oh and apparently you can punch or elbow someone in the head deliberately and get 2 games or less.

And the clincher - Bartel offered a week for standing still and watching Rory Laird run into his leg. WTF else was he supposed to do????? Seriously I'm that close to giving this game away to watch the lawn bowls on Channel 2....so frustrating!!!

TJs 4 match ban for a first offence bump is one of the most dissappointing findings i have seen in my time watching football. :?

The Jonas one doesn't surprise me at all, he wasn't looking at the ball, ran past it and KO'd Robertson with a high hit

Here is two weeks ago's MRP findings just for the comparison

Patrick McGinnity - 3 Weeks for a rough tackle
McKernan - 2 weeks for striking a bloke with his elbow after the bloke got rid of the ball making heavy contact
Westhoff - 1 week for striking with the elbow making minimal contact
Taylor Adams - 1 week for striking Adam Cooney making moderate impact
Jeremy Cameron - 0 weeks Huge bump on Bulldogs player making heavy impact
Zorko - Reprimand for punching a bloke in the nuts making moderate impact
Jonathon Brown - 0 weeks Got away with another cheap shot
Sam Mitchell - 0 weeks Joel Corey incident

No coincidence that the Chairman of the panel Mark Fraser never won a hard ball get in his life!!!

Didnt look like much malice in it too me. The ball wasnt far and if he was KO,d he would have gone off on a stretcher. I didnt see it live but watched the replays but as it was mentioned. He should have elbowed him in the face and taken the 2

You were listening to the commentator, weren't you? Bartel was not standing still. Having said that, I dont think the incident was worthy of a report.

I knew Jonas was in trouble from the moment it happened. I thought 2-3.

Bartels deserved a free kick, no more. But I thought straight away he'd get a week for that. The MRP have lost it.

Riccuito would have got a life ban for his amazing hit on Dean Kemp.

Buckley double life ban plus a 1 million dollar fine for hit on Wakelin then?

Did either of those two even make contact to the head? Bartel's contact is to the shoulder FFS!

And he's not in any of my SC teams.
Monday's are always good for the Hawks, although we have to wait until tuesday evenings some weeks. Thats just Mark Evans throwing everyone off the biased reviews, but you're a smart cooky you've seen through his shenannigans ;)

Exactly Wristy, what is this game coming too?
I thought the hip & shoulder was part of the game aswell as shepherding, WTF
The AFL's Now penalising ( suspending ) players for displaying the proper way to hip & shoulder an opponent.

AFL is f**ked.

Players should realise quickly, that a king hit is a lesser offence than a hip n shoulder...

I heard McKernan got less because he wasn't looking at the player it was careless but Jonas was looking so it's reckless and intentional  :?

So if Jonas closed his eyes or turned his head at the last minute he would've got less games?! :?

Personally any offence that is labelled "Rough" in a contact sport is laughable!
