Crows New Jumpers

Postby Punk Rooster » Thu Nov 24, 2005 6:30 am

First of all, I'm proud to say that to view the jumpers on the Cows site, I had to go to a link through the AFL site, as I didn't know their web address (even the search engine couldn't find their site).

A jumper designed to avoid clashing with Melbourne is..... Red. This is the same Red that Melbourne have in their jumper. Pardon my scepticism, but wouldn't a YELLOW jumper have been a more logical choice? They have 3 colours to work with- have a Red/Yelow based jumper for clashing with away "dark" teams, and a blue jumper for home, & away "light" teams.
And I would've though Yellow would hide the- chardonnay stains, & the yellow streak some players have there.

The new red one is goddam awful.

Perhaps if they got rid of the yellow and blue crap and put a big white Vee on it then it might look OK.

The best one was last years away strip !
it had more red on it than blue !
They need more red , than blue, because nearly 3 quater
of teams in the A.F.L. have blue ?

Wait a second, who decide to bring logic into this?

Defies logic really. They change their away guernsey to look basically exactly the same as their home one....and then have a clash guernsey which is the same colour as the club they will be playing when wearing it, and which looks similar to ther current away guernsey.

Why they wouldnt go with something similar to the Heritage yellow guernsey is beyond me. Would have been a smarter decision.
