Patrick as a captain

Well I've loved Patty for a long time but I was so impressed with him on the couch tonight. He is our captain for 2014 without a doubt. The way he plays is leadership but he really showed me tonight how well he handles the interviews (with the best in the business tonight)

People took the piss out of us during his re-signing period, but he is a superstar. You wonder when the Jarman's and Bunji's retire who will be the next one you can't wait to see play each week, who could be as good. Patty will go past them both.
.
Patty is the man to captain the Crows in 2014. He will be a Michael Voss type skip.

ps I'm not gay...Footy love :D

I reckon he plays very selfishly. Always seems to have a crack at a goal when there are better options.

^that appears to be a fairly common view of non Crow supporters.

There are many aspects of Dangerfields game that are fantastic to watch. His ability to get the arms clear in a tackle and dish the ball off, as good as any. His ability to rip the ball from a pack and dish it out, as good as any.His ability to bust open a pack or contested ball situation, as good as any. Then you get the not so good.

On Sunday in the third quarter he bounced two or three times down the wing right on front of the commentary boxes, he then missed Kerridge with a handball (at his feet, right at his feet) then follows up to win the next contest, bursts through 50 and hits it with his left shin and mongrels it into the forward pocket.

If he can take a moment to balance and execute his skills better he will be outstanding. Its fair to say he really does have room for improvement. Performs well in the media too, so he makes the perfect captaincy material.

Or, is Sloane more of a leader of men than Dangerfield and its just the media and football watchers who think it is for Dangerfield to take over the role next year?

I rate Dangerfield very highly, he's a matchwinner but yes I agree with this, he does tend to blaze a bit and that is a pet hate of mine in footy.

And I'd give Dangerfield the captaincy over Van Berlo anyday of the week. He can get better and he will, the thought if that happening would be scary to opposition clubs.
