Daisy is a gun. Got to work with him the other day and he is my new favourite non Port player. Great bloke, real relaxed and was awesome with the kids. Hope he has a cracking year for the Blues.

You definately cant read too much into the gamesytle or intensity but surely the basics would be concerning to some sides. Some of the Roos players yesterday couldnt hit 20m passes to team mates in the clear. I was really disappointed in the skills of both North and Carlton yesterday

Didnt mind what i saw from Carlton yesterday. Their defensive set up was quite good, not allowing North any offensive run. Andrejs Everitt will add a little bit of flexibility to the forward line.

Gadj- What were your thoughts on young Tom Bell yesterday? I thought he was quite good- hits the contest as hard as anybody in the comp and has reasonable disposal. Could prove a handy in and under distributor in the carlton engine room this season.

Yeh, ok. He's a good size but has skill problems and tends to get caught going back the other way (actually you could say that for 90% of footballers these days). I think this needs to be his season with Judd not playing for a considerable amount of time. To be honest, at the moment, he's about 9th in line for a midfield role.

Boak, Lobbe and Wingard were initially named, but have been withdrawn from the squad for the game against the Crows this afternoon.

Early days but the Crows skills have been good in the first 10 mins, the Powers skills have been poor, struggling to hit basic targets. The Crows are finding space far more easily too.

The ground is in great condition. Not noticeably striped though, which is disappointing. Few free footys on offer out the back near the drain
