Congrats to Hale and Lake, got their best footy at the hawks I reckon.

Also, the fact Lake has finished leads me to think we have either Carlisle or Henderson in our sights.

Which Henderson... please not the bloke from the crows!

Would much rather Ricky than Lachie

Sorry Rickie Henderson is the epitome of "ordinary"

Didnt we have a crack at Carlisle the last time he was out of contract? Not sure if that left a sour taste in the mouth at the Hawks.

Ceglar will be fine, its good timing by Hale, reckon Ceglar wouldve been looking elsewhere had he not retired.
Spangher is not a replacement for Lake imo, I personally would have Carlisle in a heart beat especially over Henderson.
Hopefully the likes of Langford, Anderson and O'Rourke step up next year so we dont need to waste cash on a good midfielder, much easier and cheaper just recruiting key backs.
Not fussed if Whitecross or Suckling leaves, opens up a spot for the young ones to develop

Yep you tried to get Jake to walk using the ASADA clause.
To Jake's credit he wanted a decent deal for the club so it fell through. Maybe the Hawks were annoyed by that, who knows. Seems that Jake is going to the Saints though now, $700k x 5 years

Whitecross has been injured for the past 2 seasons, Suckling is ok I reckon, lethal left foot!

You're both either side of reality. He's ok, one of those players who doesn't really have a role because of his size, he's that HBF/HFF utility type. He's AFL standard, but no gun.

That's pretty much what I meant Booney. Playing the right position he is definetly AFL standard.

I like Suckling but am prepared to lose him if we had to lose someone to keep some of our young mids and give them game time. Losing him wont hurt us
