Hayden Ballentyne says hello. Always booed outside of WA

Wayne Carey got booed his whole career.

Isolated times - like every footballer - and, briefly, after the poor bloke got rumbled for ******* his best mate's missus.
Please do not bring him into. He is hardly a good example.
Given his record of sexual harassment, arrogance, bastardy and drug use, it is surprising he has a media career.
Good footballer. That's it.

we need written laws so everyone knows whats allowed and what isnt?

Because its all personal opinion at the moment. Look at Allan Jones and that Robbo knob on afl360

Did/does Stuart Broad, Wayne Carey, Hayden Ballentine & anyone else who is booed think it's because of their race though.

How is not irrelevant

IMHO it's two people who are being booed because bogan australia doesn't like there personalities!

I'm not convinced this based on racism

It would be interesting to see a poll on whether thought the booing was motivated by

-racism
-off field personality
-on field personality
-both
-other

Because in this situation there is a question over whether some/all of the booing is based upon race.
There is no question of race about the booing of Broad.

AG, It has always been a right to boo sportspeople. You pay your money, you have a right to be a wanker, if you wish.
Booing based on race should never be allowed. Whether you like it or not, there is a question mark over some of this booing.

We will see many posts now calling him soft, even though many people were urging him to retire so they wouldn't have to hear any more about him.
He was a sook for people questioning, on his behalf, the nature of the booing. Now he'll be a sook for taking leave.

It's not relevant because in this case it's obvious there is a racist element amongst the premeditated and sustained booing. And even if that element only makes up a small proportion, why would anyone want to continue to provide a platform for racists simply because they feel the need to always boo a bloke every time he takes to the field.

It'd be pointless as most of the racism is either denied or sub conscious.
They'd just use the other answers as a cop out.

I hear Joel Selwood getting booed by the crowd
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Where was the media and AFL when Milne was getting booed?
I see Goodes no different to the way i saw Milne, both just highly irritating.

Obviously Goodes has said he is hurt by the booing but had he said it spurs him on to perform better im sure it wouldve stopped by now. Well that and if the media wasnt in the business of selling papers and ratings.

Wayne Carey and Dermott Brereton wouldnt have even played 50 games had they been offended by booing.

And on the dance he did against Carlton, i am sick and tired of seeing references and comparisons between that and the haka. The haka has tribal traditions going back years, this so called war dance was concocted a couple years ago by a group of teenage boys, Its not traditional it was confrontational and directed at the fans. It has only served to add some more fuel to the fire

Does Goodes believe it is because of his race or is it just the media and do gooders and those who get offended on behalf of others who speculate that it is?

One of the few in the media that the AFL hasn't controlled.

Most of her poorly constructed points have already been countered in the last few pages.
