Would that be such a bad thing? Our mob are in almost the same boat. Mid table finish light on for top draft picks. I think I'd rather bottom out a little and get some genuine running power into our team than hang about 3-8 for another five seasons.

But if you're on the slide (as you were this year, and with aging stars), then there's a good chance Essendon, North, Brisbane (who are all trending upward) could do it, along with Adelaide, Port, WB. Maybe not next year, but 5 years hanging around the same mark still looks a stretch to me without successful drafting and/or recruiting.

Its the coaching that will ultimately cause our demise. Another 4yrs....ffs.

i doubt someone will pick him up... But if he gets fit and doesnt hurt himself again he could be very handy...

Wells has been quite ordinary for nearly a decade now, have a look at your most recent 1st round picks, missed about 6 or 7 in a row, there is your problem
