Wasted Talent

Just read an article on Colin Sylvia and cant help but feel he has wasted his opportunity at AFL level and didn reach his potential.

No doubt there are 100s over the years who didnt achieve what they could have due to a number of reasons. Who would be the players you think 'wasted their talent'?

Craig Turley freaked me out when he walked away from the game.

Probably fair assessment and it counts for plenty when it's one of your own.

( Watch as this deteriorates into another slagging off of anyone and everyone people don't like. REB, for instance, he doesn't like people who don't play for Geelong  )

Are we including injuries as a reason for wasted talent? If so, I always thought Sean Rusling could have been something real special if it weren't for his ****** shoulders.

Absolutely, people who have been cursed by injury, no fault of their own, many have had careers derailed because of it.

Not wasted talent then, but David Schwarz could have been an amazing player if not for his knee's .. Shows how good he was to play as many as he did.

A lot of Collingwood folk had massive wraps on Lee Walker too, but he never stood a chance after wrecking his knee's continually. Daniel Menzel sadly, currently sits in the same bracket.
