Something I've always thought and remembered after seeing a debate on TV tonight. If you get a 50 metre penalty I think you should be able to play on at any time whilst being dragged up the ground and as soon as you play on them play continues as per normal. If you give away a 50 metre penalty why should you be rewarded with having enough time to get back in defence.

Can you not shepherd or bump anymore? I want my game back!

I thought I was the only one that thought that. I really dont think it was that bad. Edwards looked to be almost slipping over when contact was made.

these days if you have a reasonable alternative, i.e to go for the ball instead, and you choose not to do that, then you wear the consequences.

On the whole I agree with that, and Buddy getting 1 week seems about right.

Its interesting the range of responses though - I reckon most people think he should have got MORE of a suspension not less

The players association are the ones to blame, I too seen nothing wrong with it but the rules now state that you can't run past the ball and bump, especially if you make high contact, there was a small amount of upper arm that made contact with Edwards' head, that was the clincher.

Our game is becoming far too sanitised.
