From what I've seen this season, I think it's 'Footscray'.

You would have to say the Dogs at this point.
It might not seem it at this point, but I do think the Saints are assembling a decent core. Billings/Longer/Dunstan/McCartin/Newnes/Goddard. Add another quality defender to that mix alongside Carlisle (if acquired) in this draft, and they may begin their rise by 2017.

I think Richmond have been/and still are building a list to make the finals not win the flag, Bullies and Saints are heading int he right direction but are still 3 years off a serious threat.

How long before the AFL adjusts its equalisation scheme to further assist sides with overlong premiership droughts?

If some of these sides cannot win a flag with 17 home games I don't know what else the AFL can do

Footscray don't play at Western Oval anymore.

The Melbourne clubs have a far less home ground advantage since the demise of suburban grounds

Yeah I like what they're doing at Moorabbin too, but replacing Rooey sometime soon is another huge obstacle for them.

I understand it is less of an advantage but an advantage still. I'm sure if you gave non-victorian sides a choice to play at a stadium with other clubs and play there 17 times a year instead of 11-12, they will jump at the chance.

Saints, Dogs and Melbourne are usually well outnumbered by opposition fans at their home games and being at the game you ofyen wonder who's home game it is.
