If Port people would've rocked up in numbers routinely through the dark ages and continued to buy memberships, we would probably still be at Football Park. Heaven forbid.

Sometimes change is painful.

how'd that work for Fitzroy?

You'd have to think so, yes.

Booney surely you have a better understanding of list management and recruitment at AFL clubs to know better than that..

Coaches have a say in the types and profile of players they would like on the list, but not in the selection (draft) or recruitment (FA /trade) of the individual players. Its the list management and recruiting teams that need to be overhauled if they cant build the list that the coaches game plan requires

How'd we let this one slip through the net?

COLLINGWOOD forward Jamie Elliott will face the music with his club this week after being arrested by police for drunken behaviour.

Elliott could be facing a fine or suspension from the club after the run in, which occurred just before dawn on Sunday morning.

The young footballer had been celebrating black-and-white racing fixture Derby Day with friends at Flemington.

But it seems the break went a bit too far to his head.

The Magpie was apprehended by police on Victoria St, North Melbourne in the early hours of Sunday morning after he was spied urinating into a bin.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Jessica Brennan confirmed a 25-year-old man was arrested for being drunk.

“It’s understood the Richmond man was seen urinating into a bin on Victoria St about 4.50am. He was released and fined $634 for being drunk in a public place,” she said.

A Collingwood spokeswoman tonight confirmed Elliott had rung up the club and confessed to the misdemeanour.

“Jamie notified us earlier today and we have organised to meet up with him in the coming days to formally discuss the incident,” she said.

It’s understood Elliott was spending the day in country Victoria today but will return to Melbourne for talks with coach Nathan Buckley by Thursday.

Absolutely.

Give him a couple of years to develop an AFL tank and he will be an absolute star.

Pure X-Factor.

I don't mind stinking it up in February.
Its a little concerning that our skills were poor as that's been the case for a long time now.
I'll reserve my judgement till round 3.
