There's a few more you could throw on the scrap heap at North using that rationale

Such as?

Why would you be offering a injury prone Waite a 1 year contract?
Should of been the first one gone

Have a look at our win % when he plays. Yes it’s a gamble, but one that’s worth it.

Not at all, constantly butchers the ball costing too many goals. I’ve posted before I’m not a fan.
If Thomas & Swallow didn’t have a year left on their contracts I’d say at least one of them would be gone too.

Someone suggested that Adelaide could select his as a DFA or rookie to cover for Brodie Smith.

Brad has made some tough calls on some mid-aged list cloggers in recent years...none of them have gone on to hurt us at other clubs so confirms his decision making is sound.

Such as McKenzie, Black, Harper, Anthony and now Mullet...who all at some stage looked like 150+ gamers

I really rated Harper, injury after injury meant we never saw what he could fully do.

Wouldn't be the worst rookie to pick up, played some good games I thought. Shit tatts though, I don't think the Auxiliary would approve.

I thought Mullet could add some depth down back, I'm surprised they "parted" company.

Who was only getting a game due to our ridiculously high injury list.

*Sigh* North only have 4 players over 30 on their list.
Thompson more than deserves another year, his form warrants it.
Waite when fit is near impossible to match up on, yes it’s a risk but one most North fans including myself are happy for them to take. Again, our win % is through the roof when he plays.
Jacobs was injured ALL year, a bit hard to notch up games from the sidelines.
Unlike Gibson, these 3 are in our best 22.

Gibson played all the games, Jacobs couldn't get on the park, Waite played 10 and in your words you had a ridiculously high injury list....which included 2 of the blokes you just signed on. Risk? That's a positive spin if I've ever heard one.
