I miss read thought Spargo said you are a chance to get Kelly end of this year. Play on..

Might be on the cards if GWS think they will get more value now

Not after we take Shiel off their hands this year lol

Makes me wonder, their play at Kelly, Martin, Sloane et al, were they all a ruse just to keep the cash in their back pocket for Polec?

@Spargo will be beside himself with joy. New guernsey for him next year with a new number!

By front ending his contract and paying him $1m in 2019 is very smart, if trade talks fall thru then he heads to the PSD where he puts a price on his head ($1m) and I can't see any clubs in front of the Roos agreeing to that. Its smart use of the cap space we have

How will Ziebel, Higgins, Brown and co. feel about paying a good average player that much coin?
We're not talking about an A grader here.

Who do you reckon has been getting an extra few hundred thousand on top of their normal contracts this year? Remember we had $2m+ cap space but you need to spend 95% of it so it has to go somewhere

Yeah I know but now they have to share it.
I get why the club is doing it as it makes sense but seeing an outsider come in and get a huge share of it can be unsettling.
Remember we are not talking about Dusty or Kelly here, but Polec.
