Won 4 of his first 5. The next 2 losses were in the last minute.
Just a dumb post - but not surprising ;)

What a pathetic post and contribution this is. Logs in to take a swipe at someone get a life. Maybe ask to deactivate your account and not come back. A football discussion and logs in to insult facts. Idiot.

North Melbourne defender Scott Thompson will call time on his 12-year career at the conclusion of 2019.

The tall has played 238 games for the Roos since being selected with Pick 37 in the 2007 national draft.

The 33-year-old has been a crucial player in the North Melbourne defence over the last decade and continued to show no signs of slowing down.

But Thompson won’t be playing on in 2020, with the Roos confirming his career would end at the end of the season.

“When it comes to our famed ‘Never Beaten’ mantra, Scott epitomises it more than any other,” North Melbourne general manager of football Cameron Joyce said.

“He is a player that will never lie down, and always gives his all out on the field.

“Scott’s determination, durability, competitiveness and grit can never be questioned and he sets a terrific standard for all our players.”

One of my all time favourites to pull on the royal blue & white. Extremely underrated by many outside the club.
Tough as they come & very cunning. On current form he could’ve easily gone around again.
Thanks Scooter.

From an outsider looking in, he's a fair barometer for the team.

From the outside looking in he's a grub and I'm not one bit sad to see him go.

I've always felt this way too, although in recent seasons I'll confess to a degree of admiration for a bloke who found a way to contribute for so long on more than just natural ability.

I'm sure he doesn't get inundated with Christmas cards from those outside of the NMFC.
