He was responsible for bringing Dank and Robinson to Essendon and was in cahoots with Hird the whole time of the saga.

I think there's a good chance Bomber will be coaching the Lions next season.

He may seem he is on some of cousins gear, but I reckon he's still got a fair bit offer. I actually don't mind him on the bomber diaries. Good to see he's got a sense of humour. Coaches don't need to be robots.

is there a rumour that he is linked to somewhere or is this just carey speculating?

Lol. If they weren't going to ban Hird for life, they were never going to ban Thompson. Ultimately talent speaks pretty loudly. Hird in the end was moved on because he wasn't able to get Essendon to perform. If someone thinks Thompson can make them better, they'll appoint him regardless of the Essendon saga he was involved in.

Absolutely false, Hird was moved on because with him at the club we could never move forward and away from the saga, nothing to do with performance. Exactly the same reason Bomber was effectively moved on.
Both were highly involved and shouldn't get a gig anywhere else again along with anyone else involved at the time

Nothing to do with performance? Turn it up he was clinging on like a Barnacle. If he had a clue and you blokes actually won a few games he'd still be around.

Strongly disagree, they needed to move him on. There was no way he was staying. The club needed a clean break and did the right thing just a few years too late unfortunately

Yeah, I know the club needed to move him on but you had to pry his fingers from the desk and the whole club was on the Kool Aid.
