Even if you are yet to debut for Adelaide, surely backing yourself in here is better than going to Carlton who, despite in roads, are a long, long way off doing anything meaningful.

I heard a stat on the radio not too long ago, I forget the exact detail, but the gist was that no club that's finished bottom in the past ten or twenty years or so has won the flag since. I think Brisbane was an exception, but they got preferential draft treatment etc.
That would mean, statistically, that no one at Carlton now will still be there when we win our next flag.

BRISBANE Lions small forward Josh Green has been delisted.
Green, 24, played 81 games after being drafted at No. 32 in 2010.
He was the club's leading goalkicker in 2014 and 2015.
Check out all the retirements and delistings
He had signaled at the start of the year that he wanted to extend his contract at the Lions, and had hoped it would happen before the season began.
It was speculated in early September that the Lions would be open to trading Green and he has been linked with the Bombers.
"It is disappointing when any player departs, and Josh has given great service to our club," football manager David Noble told lions.com.au.
"We thank him for his time at the club and wish him all the best for his future."
A broken foot in January disrupted Green's pre-season. He joins Hugh Beasley, Billy Evans, Josh McGuinness, Jackson Paine and Josh Watts in being delisted, while Justin Clarke, Daniel Merrett and Trent West have retired and Pearce Hanley was traded to the Suns.

Something smells here, thought this guy was one of their positives in last couple of years...off field issues?

Or did he deliberately price himself like this to get out of there and then accept $400k elsewhere?

I dont see a lot of the roos though- Spargo or Dutchy? Worth picking up?

Im staggered by this, he has almost elite legs skills, played 14 games this year, although fell out of favour at years end. Really thought he was the type that will push up next year with more opportunity. Maybe squeezed out as our defence is looking OK.
He was one of our best during the Crows game here mid season.
Reckon he will get picked up pretty quickly.
