Oh sorry, thought we were just potting shots at other peoples clubs.

Those in glass houses.. don't reckon a Roos supporter is in any position to be having a crack at PAFC ;)

Cany you explain this theory of why a North Melbourne supporter cant comment or ask questions on a Port Adelaide thread?
Is there some magical spot on the ladder where that teams supporters are alowed to comment about other clubs.
I assume using your theory no Port supporters will make any comments about the Crows this week if they lose?

Its gold when fans have a crack at your club to not answer the questions asked of their club. More than happy to have a discussion about North in the North thread.

Booney - you conveniently left out the drop in Home Match attendence's over the last 2 years.

Not slinging shit at all, I even complimented Port on how they played the media today in the last 24 hours.

Im not sure Ken deserved 4 more years, but I do like that they have fully committed to him, its going to be an interesting ride ala Buckley if they miss finals in the next 2 years.

2014 - 44364 Shiny new stadium
2015 - 42929 Following on from finals appearance
2016 - 39664
2017 - 38135

Shall we get into the cost of matches, cost of living, times slots, opponents or just look at the fact that we're averaging 41,005 people through the gates since the move to Adelaide Oval compared to the 27,991 we were at Football Park?

What's your point, other than how much you hate Port Adelaide?

Love how much you hate us.

No wonder your up and about with the massive massive signing. Huge news well done amber.

Daisy Thomas contract extension lol  ;)

No wonder your a #closetportfan

Are you ******* with us, or did they sign him on?

If they did it's time for Amber to stop the charade and show his true colours, even he couldn't keep pretending to support that mob if they've gone down that path. ;)

Carlton are shite and have been for years.
They've made mistake after mistake but you don't stop supporting them because they're crap.

Unfortunately the Adelaide media think there are only 2 teams who play in the AFL so supporting a non adelaide team is a lot harder these days.
Plus if you don't have Foxtel you don't get to see many non adelaide teams play too often.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

I don't. At all.

Hawthorn have dominated the AFL. As have Geelong. As have Sydney. As have Brisbane.

The notion that you can't have sustained periods of success is defeatist mediocrity accepting bullshit more becoming of the franchise down the road. This is the sort of cultural crap that has pervaded the club of late.

We had our opportunity and didn't take it, we had our chance and let it slip in the early 00's.
Agree, but we've also let it slip since 2013. 2014, 2015, 2016 and now 2017 absolutely wasted years.

I don't expect a flag every year, but I expect us to finish at least where our list and age profile is at and then take our ******* opportunity if it presents itself.

We win one more game we finish second. Two home finals. Maybe a prelim. Anything can happen.

We should've gotten a flag out of the Hinkley group by now. That isn't too much to ask nor is it unrealistic. It should be par for the course for Port.

1 flag every 5 years should be the aim.

Booney wrote:The whole equilisation thing works, you get your turn, you make the most of it or you don't and you step aside for someone else to have a go.

Hawthorn are moving aside, Brisbane are in free fall, Geelong are managing it well and Sydney were aided by some AFL love.
Yeah but they've all won flags, multiple times. So it is possible. Equalisation or not.

Booney wrote:It's a different landscape, a different competition and you're deluded if you think we can do what we did for years and years in the competition you don't watch anymore.
I don't expect Magpies SANFL type success. Thats simple math, we went from 10 teams to 16 now 18.

But I do expect Hawthorn, Geelong, Sydney AFL type success.

Booney wrote:Take into account our shit administration in the late 00's running us into the ground and how the **** do you expect us to be a power house at the top of the table year after year? Open your eyes man, it's 2017, it's the AFL we're in here.
Yep and I want to win the whole ******* thing. As often as possible.

You seem happy with being in the middle and not overtly sucking.

Sadly, so does the club.

Booney wrote:Be pragmatic, run a chart or something to give you a clue on how hard it is to be the best of the best for a period of time. Don't lower your expectations, just be realistic about where you should be or you're going to end up bitter and twisted.
Read The Creed. I believe in it. Do you?

For a traditional Port person you exhibit a heck of a lot of non-Port thinking.

Its true. You're one of the biggest "happy with our lot" Port supporters I have ever come across. Did you clap them off the other Saturday night with "So brave, so brave" muttered under your breath?

Excuses for this, reasons for that, but this but that, how about this and blah blah blah.

We should have made a GF in 2014. We should have made more since then. We should be in a prelim this year.

It's not good enough.

Stop. Accepting. Mediocrity.
