Even if Adelaide lost both and Geelong win both the Crows finish top 2 so they've got two home finals stitched up now.

Seriously, when are these clowns going to "take the lid off"? Adelaide's flag to lose, been saying it for weeks.

Take the lid off if we win the premiership, means nothing to finish the minor round top and then not win the Grand Final

a few reasons why the lid wont come off. (5 losing prelims i think)

1993 - one of the biggest chokes in history to miss the GF
2002 - finish third and lose prelim to collingwood
2005 - finished top but lost first final and away prelim to west coast
2006 - finished second and lost home prelim to west coast
2008 - missed the top four by 1% and lost to collingwood in elimination final
2009 - lost a semi to collingwood with 15 seconds to go
2012 - lost first final and then a prelim by less than a goal
2016 - should have finished top two but had a shocker against west coast and finished 5th

Confirmed lid staying on Booney..

I think we keep picking the side as per normal. If blokes are 50/50 and it would be a risk, then maybe rest them. But wouldnt be resting for the sake of it, as has been said already.

We have to beat Sydney at some point to win the flag I reckon, and they are the side who I am most concerned by.. Love for it to be Friday night, but its not the end of the world if we lose by any stretch

I shake uncontrollably at the thought of playing West Coast late in the season. You can just about pencil it in as a loss.

The pessimist inside me thinks this confirms Gov and Lever to depart, otherwise these type of signings would logically come before those four so they know how much they can spend.

came to post this

great stuff. hopefully it paves the way for lever and mcgovern to sign.

Pretty awesome that 4 of our back six/seven (kelly, keath, laird, hartigan) were all from the rookie list.

Wouldn't be any big numbers for these guys so the kitty would still have plenty in it.

Doedee hasn't looked like playing, Keath only because Hartigan isn't, Knight and Kelly would be mid-tier contracts at best.

I reckon Gov will sign before finals....not sure Lever will be signed up until after finals.

After Lever met with his manager on the w/end one things for sure, if we don't have his signature this week sometime, he's off.

Reckon keath keeps hartigan out of the side with his current form

Agree Benny, Keath has been pretty impressive.

Doedee not far off getting a game this season but will not be tried over the finals unless something drastic happens

I like Kelly too, reminds me a lot of Lever and thought he might have been one to go because of his dads connection with Collingwood

In previous years yes, don't think the boys will let it happen like last year.

Think Sloane might miss this week with that sore knee and a 6 day turn around. Wouldn't surprise me if Walker and Talia don't travel West the week after either. Don't think anyone else will be rested as such with the week off before the finals.

Its a hard one bow withthe bye. If you rest blokes the week of the last game then they have the bye and say you win your first final. Then your into a prelim with a few guys playing 1 or 2 games in a month.

How many of these years was it the 'Crows flag to lose'. The Crowbots team of 2005-06 maybe should have won one flag. Losing at home to St Kilda was a shocker but in both years West Coast had them covered. You are really going to list 2008? Most of these are the Crows finishing where they should have with the possible exception of 2016 and 1993. In 2012 you got the softest draw of all time even though it was the umps that won that Prelim for the Hawks.

Get the lid off you wussbags. It's time!
