Afl.com.au reckon lever and otten play.

ADELAIDE v Greater Western Sydney, Adelaide Oval, Sunday, March 26, 2.50pm ACDT

B: Luke Brown, Kyle Hartigan, Jake Lever
HB: Brodie Smith, Daniel Talia, Rory Laird
C: Rory Atkins, Matt Crouch, David Mackay
HF: Tom Lynch, Taylor Walker, Charlie Cameron
F: Eddie Betts, Josh Jenkins, Mitch McGovern
Foll: Sam Jacobs, Rory Sloane, Richard Douglas
I/C: Andy Otten, Curtly Hampton, Wayne Milera, Harrison Wigg

New faces: Curtly Hampton, Harrison Wigg

Missing with injury/suspension: Brad Crouch (hamstring, 1 week), Riley Knight (Achilles, 1 week), Paul Seedsman (groin, 1 week), Scott Thompson (shoulder, 1 week).

Notes: If anyone can hit the ground running from a fractured eye socket without playing a pre-season game, it's Rory Sloane. Of course, if there is any doubt over his injury, the Crows will err on the side of caution and give him another week. If that's the case, the Crows' midfield depth will be severely tested against the best engine room in the competition. The Crows would be unlikely to throw Brad Crouch, Scott Thompson or Paul Seedsman into the fray after lengthy lay-offs. Andy Otten's pre-season form is too good to ignore and he gets the nod ahead of Kyle Cheney for his first game in three years. Curtly Hampton and Wayne Milera have the pace the Crows' midfield need. In the toughest decision, Harrison Wigg gets the nod over former basketballer Hugh Greenwood and first-year player Jordan Gallucci for the last spot on the bench. - Lee Gaskin

i really like the look of him, but he only plays if Tex doesnt get up. Cant see them playing him alongside Walker Jenkins McGovern, or him getting picked anytime soon over those three

I haven't seen anything this year but I really liked the look of Harry Dear in the SANFL side last year and hope he gets a good go of it this year.

Crows final standings predictions from the Ltd News crew:

Michelangelo Rucci - 2nd
Andrew Capel - 4th
Reece Homfray - 3rd
Richard Earle - 6th
Jesper Fjeldstad - 2nd
Chris McDermott - 6th
Mark Bickley - 5th
Kane Cornes - 8th
Graham Cornes - 4th
Warren Tredrea - 7th
Dwayne Russell - 5th

Pretty consistent spread there. I think the crows can finish in the top 8 and be pushing for a top 4.

Plenty have tipped them for top 4 yet most have them going out early in finals which is about where I have them. Should easily win enough games at home to finish top 4 but don't think that midfield can get them through a final series

It's not a ridiculous assertion. We should have finished second last year if we beat west coast at home

Anything less than top 4 this year is below par imo

And we would have won the flag if we could beat Sydney. You're second for a reason and IMO that reason is still valid. 5-8.

They play different positions. Kelly only plays if Lever doesn't come up or does he play in front of Andy Otten?
Sloane and Lever both play if fit...don't see anyone else that didn't play in Saturdays game getting picked. (Thommo, Cheney etc)
Menzel/Milera will most likely play the Cameron role from last season (high half forward) as Charlie will spend a lot of time on the wing. I know Teague (Forward coach) is a big fan of Menzel so he could get the nod.

B: Luke Brown, Kyle Hartigan, Jake Lever
HB: Brodie Smith, Daniel Talia, Rory Laird
C: Rory Atkins, Matt Crouch, Charlie Cameron
HF: Tom Lynch, Taylor Walker, Troy Menzel
F: Eddie Betts, Josh Jenkins, Mitch McGovern
Foll: Sam Jacobs, Rory Sloane, Richard Douglas
I/C: Curtly Hampton, Wayne Milera, David Mackay, Andy Otten (Depending on how we match up defensively with the Giants tall forwards)

Still to come back: Seedsman, Brouch, Cheney, Thommo, Knight

Walker started running again today so i think he will be fine. Reckon it was more precautionary than anything.

I think we will finish 7th or 8th
Very concerned about the midfield and injury list so far when rd 1 has not even commenced.

Midfield I think is talked about with too much negativity as Adelaide only needs 40 I50's to kick winning scores with the potent forward line it has, but, this would have me bothered too. B.Crouch and Thompson are well behind the game, one I think the game has passed by and the other I'm not sure can keep up with it. Either way two players who would need to do a lot of the inside grunt are not going to be up and going until well into the year.

Adelaide have spent so much time talking about outside pace they've over looked the blokes winning it, beyond Sloane and M.Crouch there's not much in and under. Much, again, on Sloane's shoulders.

I'm a bit concerned about our ball winning ability too especially outside of Sloane. We could have Plugger down there but if the midfield can't win it won't help. I see us as a finals team maybe sneak into Top 4 if everything goes well.

Rucci's just picked us 2nd to heap pressure on us so he can slag us off during the season when we're not living up to his Top 2 billing. Surprised he didn't pick us as flag favourites to be honest.

I don't think about him at all but I remember what he was like when I used to read the paper regularly about 7-8 years ago he's a one-eyed Port man who loves sticking it to the Crows even over the most trivial stuff.

Crickey settle boys, you have a big Ginger bloke in the middle thats one of the best rucks in the game. Your Midfield will find enough of it and as Booney said with Walker, Jenkins, McGovern and Betts down there you only need 40ish inside 50s to put a good score on the board.
